RENÉ M. PELEGERO
President and Managing Director
Mr. Pelegero founded RPGC Group LLC in the Fall of 2002 after working four years as the head of Global Payments at Amazon.com, where he was responsible for all aspects of Payments made to Amazon.com by consumers and companies on a global basis and for driving the adoption of new forms of payment.
A seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience working in the financial services and payments industries, Mr. Pelegero was Vice President of Product Management for Electronic Payment Services, Inc. (EPS), responsible for the definition and delivery of new ATM/EFT products and services for BUYPASS Corporation and MONEY ACCESS SERVICE INC. (the MAC ATMs), both subsidiaries of EPS
Mr. Pelegero’s experiences also include a stint at GE Capital, Global Consumer Finance, where he was responsible for defining business requirements and introducing new technologies to GE financial institutions providing consumer finance (private label credit cards, sales finance, etc.) around the world. Further experiences encompass ten years at Tandem Computers where - as a Product and Marketing Manager for the Financial Services Industry - had global responsibility for marketing and supporting sales efforts of Card Based Payments systems.
Mr. Pelegero has also provided strategic planning and systems integration advice to the bankcard and retail banking industry in a consulting capacity.
Mr. Pelegero received a B.A. in Business Information and Computing Systems and a M.B.A. from San Francisco State University.
